Fraser Alexander was founded by Fred and Fraser Alexander in 1912 to provide a tailings disposal service to the fledgling gold mining industry on the Witwatersrand. This was the first occasion that Cocopans were used to remove tailings.
This commitment to innovation and technological advancement has been the hallmark of the Group ever since. It is the basis from which we have raised the practice of mine residue management to a science that still delivers global best-practice solutions in this area of the Group’s activity.
Over the past almost 100 years we have added other complimentary businesses to our portfolio of operations. These allow us to service our ever expanding customer base in the mining, minerals processing, power generation, petrochemicals and water sectors with innovative, customised solutions. |
