Fraser Alexander has made a conscious decision to recognise the management of Health, Safety and the Environment as a part of our core business. Our Health, Safety and Environmental policies are embedded throughout all levels of our organisation from our chairman and CEO through to our day-to-day operations. Our safety philosophy is communicated widely across the group and reflects our key safety beliefs:
-
Safety is never compromised
-
Leaders at all levels set an example and instill a culture of safe behaviour
-
Workplace risk is best eliminated by awarness and training
-
Understanding the cause of incidents is the basis for continuous improvement
-
Safety is good business.
Our commitment to continuously improve our safety performance becomes evident in the fact that our Lost Time Injury Frequency Rate consistently outperforms our industry’s average. We remain alert and focused, never complacent, seeking always to advance this trend. Our ultimate goal is to consistently attain zero disabling incidents.
We recognise the reality of HIV and AIDS in the workplace and seek to provide leadership in the management of this pandemic. The focus on health related issues is extended to the identification and control of the range of occupational health stressors.
We have a deep concern for the sustainability and protection of the natural environment which is both the platform for many of our service offerings, as well as the "Golden Thread" that binds the Fraser Alexander Group into a powerful presence in its markets.
We comply with the laws and regulations in the countries where we operate and, in addition to this, we operate in accordance with Fraser Alexander’s health, safety and environmental policies, aspiring to comply with relevant international standards acceptable to most of our customers. We conduct regular internal and external audits of our businesses to assure compliance with our business principles, sustainability policy, and health, safety and environmental standards.
